Lead User Interface tier development effort, which consisted of implementing an
interface interacting with doc/literal Java generated Web Services in a
Contract-First environment. Worked with Architects, Technical Leads and System Analysts
on this multi-million dollar project. Created quick proofs of concept using windows & web
forms to demonstrate feasability.
Used Object / XML (de)serialization to bind proxy generated classes to typed
datasets. Architected and Designed Model-View-Controller, Data Transfer
Objects, multiple helper classes to maximize code reuse and ease of maintenance
and encapsulate complexity. Documented architecture and design with class and
sequence UML diagrams.

Reported directly to VP of Operations. Created and Implemented IFS’s development
framework. Integrated projects within Source Control environment. Established
n-tier architecture. Completely redesigned IFS’s point-of-entry web application
including database design, data manipulation via DTS packages and daily jobs.
Worked under high-pressure to meet the toughest deadlines of constantly
changing requirements.
Designed and Implemented custom customer service loan accounts application
along with complex interest calculation rules, billing cycles and statement
generation.

Qwest Communications - eSite
Lead development as a web application and database developer in a group
environment (up to 40+ developers) on Qwest’s Engineering Intranet site (over
5000 users and 1,000,000 page views per month). (Microsoft
case study)
Designed, architected, and assisted the development and the release of over 10
different applications ranging from Data Integration, Process Flow to Business
Automation. Created windows-modeled security system and database access layer
components.
Organized development satellite teams code review and meetings to ensure
applications code met standards for reusability, extensibility, performance and
maintainability. Database, application, document repository and web servers
defined the site’s foundation and brought flexibility, scalability and
reliability.
Optimized code and streamlined the performance of multiple applications
enhancing its functionality by remodeling parts of the database design and by
fixing numerous data-related problems. Redesigned several data entry forms to
meet new challenging requirements while working under strict deadlines.
As a lead developer, assisted several junior developers on a daily basis as
well as facilitated the understanding of the development environment. Delegated
maintenance efforts, and transferred business, web and database knowledge.
Great West Life Insurance - OEv2
Designed and Implemented various enhancements for GWL’s online enrollment
application. Fully developed the ability to allow Life insurance only members
to enroll and use the application, which involved logic controller and workflow
manager updates.
Used UML sequence, use cases and workflow diagrams to communicate with
architects, data architects and users.
Documented enhancements and transferred knowledge onto lead developers.
Level3 - PlanNet
Improved .Net planning capacity application performance by using clever
fragment and application caching.
Analyzed current applications architecture, redesigned data layer.
Gathered requirements, developed UI as well as middle-tier enhancements.
Alcohol Monitoring Systems, SCRAM Network
Created complex web User Interface using XML and XSLT technologies for Phase II
of the application design.
Wrote custom & generic XML files to facilitate both XSL transformation and
components’ code.
Rapidly solved various problems issued from testing and deployment and assisted
other developers on the project.

Blind Separation of Sources
Designed an application to experiment
a neuron network algorithm of sources' separation. Analyzed requirements, coded
with C/UNIX, used MOTIF for the GUI, edited application guide and project
statement. The GUI displayed the evolution of signals showing the separation.
Also ran on the Internet.
ENVIRONMENT::
Sun Solaris, C / UNIX, MOTIF, CGI, HTML.
